Sorry to keep ya'll waiting over here for the results. But I have good news! The cancer is not progressing and is actually shrinking. There was no mention of lymph node involvement or adenopathy either. The largest mass in my breast went from 15 cm to 10 cm at its longest length. Yay!! I'm so relieved.
My oncology team at United hospital called me late last week to let me know that treatment will continue as currently prescribed. My oncologist is currently out of town, and they will schedule a follow up visit with him but it's really not urgent because we have such a good news.
So I'm on cloud nine. Absolutely elated. All the things I'm doing must be working, including the treatment, of course.
Freddy and I celebrated by going up north on Friday for a quick overnight at grand Marais. This allowed us to spend some more time on our land on Saturday. We snow shoed in and this time we only brought our backpacks and the food bag so it took about 30 minutes to get up there and 30 minutes to get back. Still, that was a lot of activity for me so I stayed at the camp while Freddy went exploring, falling into the occasional snow hole in his snow shoes.
Life is good. I've just started the detox as described in the book Grow a New Body. The detox lasts for a week and is a refinement of how I was already eating (for dinner), in the morning there is a green juice, then a green smoothie, and then a nice healthy salad for lunch and a high fiber nutritious dinner along with a vegetable broth that could be had in the morning or afternoon, as a snack. It's essentially a lot of vegetables with healthy fats and specific supplements to help the body detox. I'm only on day two.
Today is also chemo day so I will take a walk down the street for my infusion this morning. It's really nice that I can walk to treatment again.
The weather is gonna be nice, in the 70s. Boy that is unseasonable for this time of year. But the ice and snow have just about melted on the pool deck down below. And I have volunteered to help out with the gardening and watering on the pool deck this year. So I'm looking forward to that. I hear that tulips have been planted down below. I'm really looking forward to watching the tulips bloom.
That's my news fit to print. I hope all is well with you. I've been told that spring is the season of the liver which is detoxing this time of year. You can help that process by eating more leafy greens and cruciferous vegetables, from what I've learned. So, if you find yourself prone to anger, just take a deep breath and let it go. Can you find the wound that is the source of the anger? It's the season of the liver, which is cleansing itself.
Thank you for reading and many blessings to you and yours. Much love.
Annette
Such great news Annette. Cheers!
